Tips to Stay Focus During Work from Home

Staying focused nowadays has become quite tricky because of the monotonic environment. We sometimes zone out when we are doing work from home. Several factors distract us, right from the notification sound from your phone, looking out the window, online shopping, to Instagram or even more. Keep repeating to stay focussed is more accessible, but following the same can be pretty tough. Here are some tips we can all build our focus during work from home:

Get rid of distractions: First, you need to eliminate distractions that are possible to eliminate. For example, move to a quiet area, silence your phone, close the door where you are working, and close apps on your laptop that are unnecessary. And for those of you who use android, there is a new feature on the brand-new OS, which is a focus mode. When you turn it on, no notifications will come in until you turn it back off.

Get enough sleep: Before doing any work the next day, get enough sleep. Being hazy all day isn’t the best idea and condition to do anything.

Be more mindful: Your thoughts can wander around sometimes, which is normal; we experienced it too—being conscious means that you need to be aware of what you are doing, from moment to moment. By being mindful and recognizing that your brain is starting to wander to dreamland, you can quickly bring your focus back to what you are working on.

Make a to-do list: Making a list of what you should get done for the day is like having small goals to achieve. It can be a lot sometimes, but having plans written down can boost your productivity.

Focus on one task at a time and do similar ones first: Multitasking can fry your brain sometimes, so it is essential to do things one by one and group it based on the similar ones so you can finish it faster because you don’t need to change what you think quickly.
